Don't be fooled by web sites that claim to offer a free estimate for the value of your home. Such sites often use incorrect or outdated data to calculate their estimates of Houston TX Homes, and their results can range from marginally believable to outrageous fiction. Texas is a Non Disclosure State and information about MLS "Sold Data" (which includes price of sold homes etc...) is not disclosed to the public and is not available to anybody except of local MLS participants. Not all real estate brokers and not all real estate agents in Texas are MLS participants. Only those real estate brokers and agents and appraisers who are licensed in the state of Texas and are local MLS members - have access to local MLS "sold data". Only those brokers and agents are the most reliable source for an estimated sale price on your home. I am a Texas Realtor® and I am a member of Houston Association of Realtors® and HAR MLS. I have personally studied and sold houses that are comparable to yours in size, age and amenities. As a Houston Association of Realtors MLS participant, I have access to accurate "Sold Data" from HAR MLS, and I know the exact sales figures on greater Houston area homes.
